- Preferred duration and reason:I'm applying for a new mandate to admin the HT wiki; many things remain to do and not enough hand to achieve a little part of the job; things have been improved/enhanced on the wiki such as presentation, templates,generic frames,translations to easy contributions; some artists and personnalities were made aware of the necessity to contribute to the project, some of them have contributed to some articles, others have provided more elements/ideas on some subjects like cinema,music,actors,arts; we have many promises for contribution among the haitian community on the web, but there are some delay for this motivation to be effective; some associations were made aware of the educational goal of this wiki such as OLPC/WindowsOnHaiti/SODA-Haiti/YELE/Potomitan, many haitian linguists have been contacted to take part of the projects, but it remains still difficult to have a continuous interest for the project; the project has been registered on Projects10toThe100 proposed by Google, but it seems they have some delays. I'm applying for a new longer mandate to admin the HT wiki; the community is growing slowly; many things have been done (sand articles, templates, attractiveness, help); on basis of sand articles, enhancements and contributions are being made; it's a good sign for future developpment.

I'm aplying for a new administrator mandate in order to continue the work we have started 2 years ago. There are more and more contributions to main topic in this wikipedia (biographies, common terms, scientific, medical content, geographic content).
We are federating wide competences (researchers, linguists) on haitian creole in order to guide the structure of the haitian creole wiki; some linguistic elements are poorly described and consensus about many subjects is lacking. We've seen a great enhancement in useful contributions (bibliographies, medical content) and interwiki connections. Many of these contributions remain sporadic but things are going ahead.

I am applying for a one year term to become the new administrator of the Haitian Creole Wikipedia. It appears that there has been no such request for 6 years now and as a native fluent speaker and writer of Haitian Creole and wikimedian, I would like to take up the challenge of reviving the site and attracting editors and developers to it. I am the founder of Afrocrowd, a two year initiative to recruit more people of African descent to Wikipedia. You can find out more about our work at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/AfroCrowd/Home. In our two years we have held editathons at GLAMS in the New York Metropolitan area and beyond on a monthly basis. We have also assisted such efforts by black groups in other parts of the country including in Detroit most recently. We were keynote speakers at Wiki Con USA at the National Archives in 2015.
I have contributed a few articles to the Haitian Creole Wikipedia in the past few years and showcased it at every editathon that we have held. I have also added several articles about notable Haitians on the English Wikipedia and trained a Haitian Creole class at NYU on how to edit. I also presented about the Haitian Creole Wikipedia at the 2015 Haitian Creole Symposium at Brooklyn College.
Please let me know what questions I can answer to facilitate a decision by the stewards.
