Wikimedia Bot (operated by Addshore)
Wikidata now stores and serves interwiki links for wikipedia and wikivoyage sites. See d:q1 and d:q2 as examples. These pages now have most of the interwiki links that can be found on Wikipedia projects. Once the links are stored in Wikidata there is no longer any need to keep them at the bottom of articles.
When Wikidata rolls out on your Project at first the only change you will see is a little 'edit language links' link below the language links bar which will take you to the Wikidata page so that you can add and edit links. Any on-page interwiki links will override the links that are stored on Wikidata and for this reason when Wikidata goes live wikilinks need to be removed that are already on Wikidata so that all Wikipedia projects can use Wikidata to the full effect!
The easiest and safest way to do this is by using a bot which checks and makes sure that the link it is removing is on Wikidata before removing it from the article. Addbot will not remove any links that are not on Wikidata i.e. interwiki conflicts (where another page is linked to instead of the one the bot is checking) or when the item is not yet on Wikidata.
The code is tried and tested and has made millions of error free edits. If you do spot anything please let me know ASAP! :)
